Job description
The TI Team Leader / Site Engineer is responsible for managing and supervising telecom site installation activities, including tower erection, civil works, and equipment installation. The role ensures that all site activities are completed safely, on time, within scope, and in compliance with quality and client standards.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications.
* 3–6 years of experience in telecom site implementation (TI, civil works, or rollout projects).
* Strong knowledge of tower erection, structural works, and site construction processes.
* Familiarity with telecom equipment installation standards (Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson is a plus).
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOQs.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Good understanding of EHS practices in telecom site environments.
* Basic computer skills (reporting, MS Excel, documentation).
Work conditions:
* Field-based role with extensive travel to multiple telecom sites, including remote areas.
* Exposure to outdoor conditions, heights (tower climbing), and construction environments.
* May require long working hours, weekend work, and tight project deadlines.
* Requires strict compliance with safety regulations and use of PPE at all times.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise end-to-end site execution including tower installation, foundation works, and equipment mounting.
* Coordinate daily site activities, workforce, subcontractors, and material availability.
* Ensure all work is performed according to approved drawings, method statements, and client specifications.
* Monitor project progress and report daily/weekly status to project management.
* Conduct site surveys and support site design validation before execution.
* Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, including proper PPE usage and safe working practices.
* Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure defect-free installation.
* Manage site documentation including checklists, acceptance forms, and as-built reports.
* Coordinate with RAN, power, and transmission teams for integrated site readiness.
* Resolve on-site technical issues and escalate when necessary.
