Job description

A Rigger/Technician in the telecom sector is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and dismantling of telecom infrastructure, primarily working at heights on towers, rooftops, and monopoles. The role combines physical rigging activities with technical tasks such as antenna alignment, cable routing, and equipment installation to ensure optimal network performance and safety compliance.

Requirements:

Education * Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field * Technical certifications in telecom or rigging are an advantage Experience * 1–3 years for junior roles; 3–5+ years for senior riggers * Experience in telecom tower climbing and equipment installation Technical Skills * Knowledge of GSM, 3G, 4G, and 5G telecom systems * Familiarity with RF equipment, antennas, feeders, and fiber optics * Ability to use basic tools (spanners, torque wrench, crimping tools, etc.) * Understanding of site drawings and installation diagrams

Work conditions:

* Work Environment: Outdoor fieldwork on telecom towers, rooftops, and remote sites * Height Exposure: Regular climbing (20m–100m towers or higher) * Travel: Frequent travel to different regions and remote locations * Working Hours: Extended hours, including weekends or night shifts when required * Risk Level: High-risk role requiring strict adherence to safety protocols

Responsibilities:

* Climb telecom towers, masts, and rooftops to install antennas, RRUs, feeders, and transmission equipment * Perform antenna mounting, azimuth/tilt alignment, and sector configuration * Install and secure feeder cables, fiber optic cables, and waveguides * Conduct tower reinforcement and structural modifications when required
