Job description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Logistics to lead and oversee the organization’s end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations. The role is responsible for planning, implementing, and optimizing logistics strategies to ensure efficient movement of goods, cost control, and high service quality. The Head of Logistics will play a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, managing teams, and supporting business growth.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)
* Minimum 5–8 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role
* Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution systems
* Experience with import/export processes and customs clearance procedures
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operations simultaneously
Work conditions:
* Full-time position, primarily office-based with regular field and warehouse visits
* Frequent coordination with transporters, suppliers, customs authorities, and internal departments
* May require travel to ports, warehouses, and project sites (locally and occasionally internationally)
* Fast-paced and high-responsibility environment with tight deadlines
* Extended working hours may be required during peak operations or critical shipments
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement logistics and supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals
* Oversee transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution operations
* Manage and lead logistics teams, including coordinators, warehouse staff, and drivers
* Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality
* Ensure timely delivery of goods and monitor shipment performance
* Manage relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport companies
* Oversee import/export operations and ensure compliance with customs regulations
* Monitor logistics KPIs and prepare performance reports for senior management
* Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies in supply chain operations
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
